Paint Industry Profiting

National paint industry saw growth of 5% for the first quarter of 2010 compared to the fourth quarter of 2009. This has made the paint industry as the second strongest industry in Malaysia after the petroleum and gas industry, which saw growth of 7.5% for the same period of time.


National paint industry pioneered by Colourland Paints Sdn Bhd for a brand made in 2007 has been most preferred brand of paint for people in Malaysia, ASEAN and some European countries.

Previously, the paint only popular as a coloured liquid to cover the surface focusing more on the decoration. SPM Candidate Confused

The 17 years old students was confused with his own future when being forced to sit for the SPM examination this November.


Nik Nik Azmin Akmar (pictured), a science student in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sungai Lipor Dua (SMK SL2), do not satisfied when the school authorities start to register his name as a candidate for 2010 SPM without his permission.

Nik Azmin been forced by by his family and school to sit for the examination. He also often been called by board of discipline and school counseling board because of his refusal to sit for the examination. But he was determined not to bow to the pressure given.

He believes that intelligence is not located on a sheet of paper. The figures that display the grade make a psychological pressure that will be a burden for such students.

"You can not control all the events that happen around you, but you can control your reaction to all things happening around you. So I take this step as a way to prove the rational reaction towards the national education system," Nik Azmin segments.

Nik Azmin, the best students in the school is considered by the school as a bet to raise the name of the school in district level ofSungai Lipor.

School principals, Tuan Haji Daud Salleh (pictured right) hopes to sign Nik Azmin confidentiality as a candidate for SPM as an intellectual weapon for the school to degrade Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sungai Lipor Satu (SMK SL1) status.

SMK SL1 is a smart school in their district level and has maintained its status as the best scored SPM results for 2004 to 2009. The school also produced many students with excellent results in their SPM and PMR all over the year.

Tuan Haji Daud promise to continue to strive to ensure that Nik Azmin willing to attend the examination whole heart and withdraw the police report made by him.

Missionary Bunkface

Bunkface, an indie group that is getting famous in Malaysia began making a name in the arena of music scene. The band that been set up in 2005, is now trying hard to help the arousing of local music industry.


Their new album titled Phobia Phoney is a second starting time for the group that consisting of four young boys.

Their first album, Lesson of the Season launched on 2008 received the platinum award. One of the most impressive achievements of the local new band that had defeated the international young group such as the Jonas Brothers.

Vocalist of the group,Shamsul Annuar or more normal to be known as Sam, thanked the fans who never fail to support them.

"We are free to move with our works as an independent artist. We do not be bounded by the contract companies such with other music labels in order to reduce the legislature bureaucracy during the contract signing. So we managed to reduce the cost of legal services there," he said when interviewed at a press conference after the completion of the performance in Sunway Pyramid.

Bunkface admit the other reason they moved solely independent because that is their methodology of preaching. They do not want the money and expertise being manipulated by the giant music companies which are largely predicated to Zionist.

"Maybe people are not aware, we support the struggle of Muslims in Palestian regarding their Intifada. All the lyrics of our songs are inspired by the struggle face by them."

Peace Rally Success

Association of Children under 15 years old Shah Alam (Perkasham) today held a peaceful rally in front of police headquarters in Shah Alam. The assembly attended by kindergarten students from two separate kindergarten classes has successfully delivered the message to the head of the police station.

Nur Zamarina Zambry, who led the rally admitted that it is difficult for a 6 years old children to make a peaceful rally.

"We've been looked smudgy by our 15 years old president. We are aggrieved by the actions made by our president."

Nur Zamarina also add that the situation becomes more harder when the head of his own class, Tajul Amirul Shamsudin which should led the rally, failed to attend to the class this morning before departure.

Adding to the matter, Nurul Sufinah who is also Tajul's girlfriend, told before his sister waking up Tajul for midnight prayer (tahajud), her sister saw a rioting guide for children near Tajul's pillow which Tajul had read it overnight before directly fallen asleep. Immediately after the Tan Sri Muhyiddin's idea been explained to Dato 'Razali, he said the youth ministry will not be in a hurry to implement them. This matter will be implement in another two years.

"The government itself has been targeted to force one agenda only each one year towards our students. So we have time to plan."

Asked whether this has to do with security issue involving the 15-year-old youth that was shot dead recently by the authorities, the Deputy Minister refused to comment further.

Oil Prices Urged

After nearly two years Malaysia government did not announce a sudden increase in prices of petrol and diesel, Petrol Hawkers Union (Kepepet) urged the government through the Ministry of Finance to revise the two fuel prices.


President of Kepepet, Subki Maarof frustrated with the government that have failed to arouse the anger of the people to go out to the street demonstrations doing some protests.

"Two years is a very long period. We are very sad with the action taken by Prime Minister Dato 'Seri Najib which is he did not continue the legacy of Tun Abdullah," said Subki disappointed. Within one more month to come, it is already two years for Malaysian not having sudden increase in oil prices.

The last time oil prices raised were in June 2008 with an increase of RM0.60 to RM 0.40 for petroleum and diesel. The increament was the highest in 40 years since the history of Malaya merged with Sabah and Sarawak.

Asked why the government should do revision on the fuel prices, Subki said that the government currently has no money.

"10 elections, in one term since the 2008 general election. You think the government still have money? Government has invested billions of ringgit to gain local residents votes. Plus, this is yet to include the 11th one in Sibu. Can you imagine how many million ringgit will be used for example if tomorrow six members of the parliament die?"

More specifically, the government is due to announce an increase in oil prices to ensure that the economy can be driven by more competitively.

The memorandum will be handed during the medal give away ceremony by the Prime Minister to the Malaysia's badminton squad in Bukit Jalil, on Sunday.
